We are delighted to present the second edition of Queer Film Festival Kathmandu. Join us for 4 days of gala presenting unique cinematic perspectives to the colourful world of queer narratives.
Queer Film Festival Kathmandu (QFK) is a queer film support platform and festival setup in 2023 with roots traced to 2011. The 2025 festival is happening between 5 – 8 December showcasing 50+ films at Alliance Francaise Kathmandu and several queer run Satellite venues across Kathmandu. As a festival QFK believes in the need of a platform to share and explore cinema not confined by heteronormative narratives. We encourage filmmakers to share projects made as homemade mobile projects to fiction, experimental films ready to be shared with the world. All films above 5 mins are invited to apply.
Join the Festival Organising Comittee
Queer Film festival Kathmandu invites filmmakers, queer culture workers, activists to join us as members of the festival Organising Committee for the next two years. Once formed the organising committee will lead the festival making way for your active engagement in reshaping queer cinema practice in Nepal. Write to the festival for details.
